Thank you…Yes balloon travel is not without risks. Not at this festival but in nearby Massachusetts a balloon hit some power lines last week. There were no fatalities but people did sustain some injuries.
Thank you. Getting a good angle on the balloons was not always easy. It woud be really fun to go up and one and photograph the others from the vanatage point.
The one and only time I attempted to take hot air balloon photos, I had to wake up before dawn to get there for the take off, drive over 100 miles, and they couldn’t go up because of high winds at about 300 ft or more. So now I have to live vicariously through your images. And they are great images!
Thank you…I’ve never been up in one but do understand they are a bit “hit or miss”. I hope that you at least treated yourself to a nice breakfast after the failed flight.
the colors are fantastic, so vibrant 🙂
Thank you…Most of the balloons were such beautiful colors It made for a fun eveningof taking photos.
Hi – just wanted to drop by real quick – and glad I did – those are some brilliant colors – whew –
and a couple months ago, we almost went to an event that had some hot air balloons – but something came up and we had to miss – and later we were glad we missed – because there was a tragic accident – so sad – (story here: http://www.nbc12.com/category/282935/hot-air-balloon-tragedy-in-caroline-county) –
anyhow, not to be a downer on such a cool post – and I love all the clouds in this cool up view….
