Val Jalbert

Val Jalbert

We are about four days away from our summer vacation. We’ve chosen to go on a cycling holiday this year, and this made me feel nostalgia for past trips. This is from a trip we took around Lac San Jean about two hours north of Quebec City in Canada. Val Jalbert was once a thriving community but was abandoned in the mid 20th century. The buildings have now become a museum.

have fun on your trip in upstate NY – I think most people would be shocked to see how beautiful New York is – so enjoy.

also – I love how you grabbed then houses all lined up like that = on the descent angle – then with the trees and shadows – I LOVE your work!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to upstate NY so I am looking forward to seeing it again, myself. Thank you – I am glad you like the shot. I took many there but this is one of my favorites.
