Times Square – The Place

Times Square, the busiest of crossroads in Manhattan and the heart of the theater district, is just overwhelming. There is so much happening, perhaps too much. I came back with so many photos, that I thought, I’d use today’s post to show you the place. Tomorrow, we will get to see some of the people who show up.

That is so cool. I always wanted to be in the armed forces of my country but I couldn’t get into it because of my weak eyesight. I have never heard of recruiting for armed forces like this — it looks so interesting and tempting (lol)

There are store fronts in most cities in which our military recruit. They also go out to schools and such looking for people who want to be soldiers, sailors, marines or airmen. I’m sure you’ll find some other way to help society even if you can’t join the military. With a law degree (that’s your goal, right) there is much you can do.

Haha, I know I can do much with law degree but haven’t you heard what they say about lawyers: they are the best liars (lol) and I don’t even know how to not get caught after lying. Stupid me. But I really hope I can help this world/humanity some day in some way.

I have no doubt you will make the world a better place. In America we also joke about lawyers – lol But you’re smart enough to know better than to be like that. πŸ˜€

Thank you…I had to make a photo because I couldn’t believe they were empty. I’ve not done NYE in Times Square but did go to the Esplanade in Boston for the 4th of July Pops concert and fireworks. That is enough for one lifetime…perhaps two. πŸ˜€

Former mayor bloomberg created the open pedestrian walk areas from macy’s to times sq. More bike patheays sharing road with vehicles. Yes it is coas. Too overwhelming.

I think having it be a pedestrian area is a good idea…less pedestrian-car conflict. I really did not stay very long just due to the chaos….but many people seemed to love it.
