Monochrome Monday: Fountain

BPL Water

This was an interesting take on the fountain at the Boston Public Library with the water in focus and the sculpture slightly out of focus.

I adore pictures of water in action, paintings as well, the English painters Turner and Constable are fantastic if you love water and oceans. Your shot is fantastic, the way you captured the drops, gives the impression of vitality and vigor. 😀

Thank you Laurie. I played with different shutter speed and really liked how this looked. You’re right…It does give it vigor and vitality. Cheers =)

good use of selective focus… 🙂 if you have it with the statue in focus, you can make a dip ofthe two next to each other… it would be interesting to see if it wil work with a blurred water in the foreground… good job 🙂

Thank you…I have to figure out how to do dips. I know they can be done in PhotoShop, but I don’t use that. It would also help if I have the correct accompanying image. I made many images of this, so I can’t imagine that I woldn’t. Thanks again – Cheers
