Where is Cobblestone Street?
The angle of the image is great
As if a cat was standing there watching..lol
Ha ha ha- You are so right. There was no cat…only me (meow).
It is in the old city in Montreal, right next to Notre Dame Basilica. Sometimes, it helps to turn the camera a bit and not take a perfectly level image.
Have a great day
Have a great day too Chris
I’ve always loved cobblestone streets. Not to walk on, though, as they are very uncomfortable.
I know exactly what you mean. I quickly got over to the sidewalk rather than continue to walk on the cobblestones. Cheers!
Awesome photo- loved the angle! The cobblestone streets have so much character and you have captured it so well!
Thank you so much. If you like cobblestone streets, have you ever seen Acorn Street in Boston’s Beacon Hill area? If not, it is worth finding. It’s not far from Charles Street. Cheers!
I definitely will check it out the next time we are in Boston.Thank you for letting me know about it. I like some of the side streets that are cobblestone around the North end.
Lovely shot. When we were in Amsterdam, Luxembourg, and Belgium this year, we were afforded lots of opportunity to walk long distances on those beautiful stones. Lovely to look at and hard to walk on for extended periods. 🙂
Thank you, Judy…I’m always afraid I’ll turn my ankle on them.
Wonderful lighting. I have never walked on cobblestones. From my reading they are not much for driving or riding either, but must be better than mud!
Thank you…an early hour but worth it. Yes, better than mud, but not so comfortable. Cheers!
wow–that is really getting down to business. I love this angle, Chris.
Thank you…I am lucky to have a rotating viewing screen so I don’t have to lie in the gutter. Cheers!
I am loving this shot, I love cobblestone streets!
Absolutely! Happy weekend. What are you cooking this weekend?
I made veal scallopine with a meuniere sauce, lemon butter sauce, with sauteed string beans. This weekend I am going to do something with venison tenderloin, maybe a mushroom sauce, and roasted cauliflower. I have already made a broccoli soup which I thickened with black beans without telling my family, they really enjoyed it and got an extra boost of protein in the process. lo
Wow, sounds amazing. You are quite the chef. I made white pizza for dinner. My secret is buying my pizza dough from Bertucci’s – lol
Hey as long as you eat and you enjoy it, it’s what counts. I was lucky enough to have a father who had a restaurant and I was in his kitchen, plus my entire family is impassioned with food so that helps. lol
Thank you…That morning light just has such wonderful qualities.
I love cobblestone. Wish they let it be and never replace.
It is beautiful…I’m glad that it is preserved in some spots like this. Cheers
Such a simple thing (street) captured into a brilliant shot yet again. Very creative, indeed!
Thank you, Shreya…If the light had not been so perfect, I am not sure I would have seen it. It was definitely worth getting up for. Cheers =)
