La Lecon

La Lecon

“The Lesson” – This sculpture of a college student sits across from the entrance to McGill College in Montreal. You can make out the word “McGill” on his shirt. If you stand behind him and look at his computer screen, it is a news feed announcing the death of Steve Jobs.

The whole image took on a different feel after you mentioned Jobs! Made me sad – not that I liked him that much – but sad that all that money can not buy health! Anyhow – very cool art piece – and even the student’s posture seems spot on!

Thank you…I did not like the reflection on death in the piece but think it underscores Steve Jobs significance to this generation. It is a good representation of the population. I wonder what students 100 years from now will think of it. Cheers!
