Monochrome Monday: Studio Tools

Last Thursday, I went with friends to tour some of the studios at Manchester’s Institute of Arts. They have some cool looking tools there. Here are a selection. The first three came from the jewelry making studio and the last came from the print making studio.

Thank oyu, Sarah. I love tools. Whenever my wife asks me to do a project, my sock response is, “Sure, but I’ll have to buy a new tool to do it.” Actually, I really love old tools as well. Some of the modern ones lack the classic lines. Cheers! =)

Hahaha! That´s sounds great!:D What is her response to this clever statement?;) I know what you mean with the classic lines: My mom´s still got a few from her Dad´s old tools, they are over fifty years old but lovely – and still do the job! Cheers! 😀

At this point, she just rolls her eyes. If she really wants a job done, she will specify in advance that I can buy a new tool for it. 😎

Such a great example of finding beauty in the relatively mundane …. the tools are indeed lovely and the black and white works wonderfully.

Thank you so much, Osyth. I was really impressed with the tools in the jewelry studio. It was like a mini-blacksmith shop. Yes, the BW really highlights the grays of the metal. Cheers!
