West Hill Place

This passageway is on the edge of Beacon Hill. I suspect that horses went through here before cars. I enjoy both versions. Which do you prefer?

It’s hard to picture a car driving through there, right past someone’s front door. I like the color photo. The green in the background really draws the eye through the arch. And the brown tones give off a warm feeling.

Thank you, Robin. It is not all that common here either. You kind of have to “nose around” to find spots like this. It is actually through the back of an old parking garage…go figure. =)

Oh my goodness! It seemed European in appearance.
Thank you, Chris, for sharing how hard it was to find this. Go figure, an obscure place~ but your artistic compass found it! πŸ™‚

Nice photos. I typically like color but something about the architecture reminds me of an old courtyard here in Pittsburgh with cobbled streets. It could be the familiarity of seeing most of these types of photos in black & white that makes it more appealing to me.

I think it was. You have to check the history of the place. But the archway looks like the one from the building where my dad used to learn at faculty πŸ™‚

Blimey! TheyΒ΄re both so beautiful, it is hard to decide. But I think I prefer the color one just the tiniest bit more… πŸ˜‰ And I wish there would be horse going through it πŸ˜‰

Well, thatΒ΄s better than nothing πŸ˜‰ Maybe youΒ΄ll be lucky next time and make a shot with one of them getting through the gate! Wish you a very lovely weekend, Chris! Cheers! πŸ™‚
