Graffiti Alley in Central Square

A friend and I parked in Central Square in Cambridge, MA for an evening of making images. We first wanted to check out some of the area’s graffiti and street art. A web search suggested Graffiti Alley, a place where people can paint the walls and such and it stays up until someone decides to paint over it. This man was kind enough to let me make some images of him at work, though I have to admit I did not get his name (shame on me).

The right place to take your camera for a walk! ๐Ÿ™‚ I have some fine photos of artwork on walls in an old factory in Cologne where many artist worked. I’m hesitant to publish it, because I’m not sure how it works with the copyright.

Some of the graffiti was really well done. I’m not sure on the copyright either. My take is that it is in the public eye and I am not
making money from it, so go for it.

Yeah, that is pretty rare to find someone painting graffiti. I think it is rather common in this spot, though. I hope your weekend is going great. Cheers

Well, the semester wrapped on Friday and another begins on Tuesday. No rest for the wicked…and I’ve certainly been wicked. Ha ha ha

Hi Chris! It was very exciting to have a graffiti artist display his actual painting upon the brick walls. I liked the “on the roof” artwork. The 30,000 rhinos and the bizarre art next to is my favorite section! Very unique and original, but strange, man with ribs showing. Hope your next semester goes smoothly. I get a one week vacation end of June into July. ๐Ÿ™‚
